Welcome to ANYHorse, or at least the beginning of it. My long-term vision for this site is to become a statistical database for horse racing, beginning with a focus on the NYRA circuit. Ultimately, this database will allow users to grade horses and compare the strength of fields, giving a better indication of how horses compare to one another on an individual basis.
As it exists now, the site is a place for me to share my picks, analysis, views, and opinions. As noted, my focus will center around racing on the NYRA circuit, but I will occasionally branch out to other track for major stakes and events such as the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup.
I hope this site will be of use to you in its current state and as it continues to evolve.
Vincent Simone is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and a lifelong fan of racing. His uncle and father owned and trained horses that ran along the eastern seaboard. Their most successful horse was Brushing Up, a Maryland-bred son of Broad Brush. Brushing Up captured multiple graded stakes including the Grey Lag and Stymie Handicaps at Aqueduct and raced against greats such as Real Quiet and Behrens.
